Lottery unveils woolly fashions
'Dedicated followers of fashion will get their first chance to study a unique collection of black and white photographs depicting 40 years of haute couture in wool, thanks to a £30,900 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).
The Woolmark Company Photographic Archive is held by the London College of Fashion and, for the first time, the complete collection will be digitised, made available online and promoted to a wider audience for use by teachers, students and researchers. An exhibition, conference and workshops in a number of London colleges will also be organised, and the original photographs will be preserved to increase their lifespan.' More...
