Following my third move of the year (Auntie Péa has torn the 'K' page out of her address book and is using a whiteboard to record my contact details) I find myself sharing somewhere compact and bijou with my sister, the Gorgeous Blonde, fresh off the boat from Southampton. Terminally single (though Heaven knows why, we are both lovely girls), we now plan on living together in this flat for the rest of our lives, filling the place with Toby jugs and crochet lace, never living the house unless together and scaring local youngsters. We could even adopt a kid, although the authorities may not agree to this in case the child grows up to be... a spinster.

Going to the chapel and we're gonna get... Harried
OK, cancel the double decker I was intending to use to get wedding guests from the church to the reception - I want the Knight Bus! (But in hot pink...)

Superdrug *rocks*!
Spotted on Saturday afternoon: Paul and Heather McCartney, at the pharmacy counter in Superdrug, Churchill Square. Didn't see what they were buying - too busy reviving a blushing and over-excited Gorgeous Blonde. Well, she's only just moved here and for a first 'spot', it was a biggie!

An intriguing combination of trapeze and drama which gets under the skin of this extraordinary icon...explores the star at two very different times in her life: the Hollywood star crooning Moon River in Breakfast At Tiffany's and coming face to face with starvation through her famine relief work. It explores her contradictions, her beauty and her incredible determination to be in control of her life.
If I'd been able to make it, In Audrey Hepburn's Arms would have made a perfect night out for Plums and I - she a trapeze artiiiiiiiste and I merely longing to one day be as graceful and elegant as Audrey. I try, honest - but to no avail. Just the other day I discovered (several hours after the sandwich responsible had been consumed) that my handbag was full of grated cheese... hopeless.

Browsing through the 'Adorn, Equip' exhibition archive site I spy my dream easy chair: The Pinky Spiky Chair, by Ticky Lowe with Henshaw Arts and Crafts Centre, Knaresborough.
'adorn, equip examines issues around the design of equipment and accessories used by disabled people. Consultation between artists, makers, designers and disabled people has inspired the production of beautiful, functional objects and thought provoking work.'

And, having googled 'Ticky Lowe', here are more wonderful chairs:

Looking at the natural forms she uses in her work (jelly moulds aside), it's fitting that she's also Learning Activities Officer at The National Wildflower Centre.
